Getting back to the swing of things has been insanely difficult, but I am determined to succeed.
I’ve been inspired by the “5 Days of…” series by Lucie Fink on refinery 29 and I wanted to challenge myself to do certain things during my week.
This week is accessories…
I wanted to start with something that I’m pretty self conscious about…my hands, specifically, my nails.
Many people wouldn’t consider nails an accessory but because you can now do some many different things to your hands (especially the nails) I really wanted to start here. I decided to accessorize my hands with some press-on nails.
I bought this pack of matte gel press-ons at Wal-Mart. I skimmed the press-on wall in my local store and while crazy glitter or neon high-gloss would be lovely I opted for a subtle yet fashionable pair of matte (almost) oxblood nails.
The process was easy:
- Make sure your nails are free of any kind of polish or dirt
- Push your cuticles back (don’t stab yourself)
- File and trim your nails
- Give your nails a buff (this will help your press-ons adhere)
- Match your nails
- Glue the nails on
- ENJOY ❤
I love to give my hands some life.
I bite my nails constantly so these nails really make my overall hands so glam.
Day one of accessorizing successful!
