Anastasia Beverly Hills Makeup Look #2

Hello My Lovely Readers,

I have completely fallen in love with my Anastasia palettes and have been spending a lot of time wearing them in as many ways as I could think of. I really wanted this look to come with some wicked falsies but unfortunately I seem to have run through all my sets. Nevertheless here is my second eyeshadow look using Anastasia Beverly Hills eyeshadow.

img_7349 I bought the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer from Sephora a few months ago and I have to say its just amazing and I always use it before applying any makeup.

*Don’t forget your moisturizer! I have really noticed a difference in my makeup application when I moisturize my skin, even before my primer. Moisturizer is key*

Eyeshadow:

I used my NARS eyeshadow primer before applying my first colours. I am also using the ABH Master palette by Mario and a custom palette I bought while at Sephora. I love that you can buy these singles and mix and match them to your choosing. ❤

I applied Lula into my crease with a fluffy crease brush

Then I went into my crease using the Anastasia Beverly Hills eyeshadow single in Rosette and in the Master palette I used Violeta.

I like using transition colours a lot when doing a darker eyeshadow look. Personally, I don’t think that deep smokey looks look great on me but when I use a few transition colours before applying my darkest shade I feel like I can use a little less of the darker shade.

Next I apply the shade Claudia in a v shape on the outer corner of my eye. I try to make sure that the shadow follows the same line that my winged liner will follow.

Applying my outer v eyeshadow along the same path as I would my liner really helps give my eyes that almond eye shape and if I don’t feel like doing a winged liner it still gives a bit of a smokey winged look.

Before I apply my lid shadow I like to add a bit of concealer to my lids. The concealer helps bring out the colour of the eyeshadow more and give it a bit of a pop. It also really helps keep everything in place.

I applied the shade Muse over the concealer in a patting motion just to make sure it stays put and to make sure it doesn’t blend to much with my crease makeup.

Next I apply Marina into the inner corner of my eyes and blend it with my lid colour. I also went in with Claudia again applied it to my lower lashes and used a smudging brush to smoke out the shadow.

I love gel liner and the Loreal infallible seems to be my gel liner of choice. I haven’t really found another that I like as much. Following my shadow line I winged my liner using an angled liner brush.

I finished off my eyes with Benefit’s They’re Real Mascara. Surprisingly I really love the plastic brush.

Face:

Marc Jacobs Genius Gel Super–Charged Oil–Free Foundation is absolutely awesome! I love the formula used in this foundation. It spreads so lightly and almost feels like you don’t have anything on your face.

NARS creamy radiant concealer and Ben Nye banana powder is my go to for under eye concealing.

I love my contour palettes. I use the two darker shades of both my Laura Mercier cream contour kit and Kat Von D Shade and Light contour kit.

I kept my blush pretty neutral and light. I used MAC blush in the shade Love Joy. Then I went in with a with Bobbi Brown Highlighting Powder in Bronze Gold.

I finished off my look with a nice red lip. I used MAC Prep & Prime lip primer and then went in MAC lipliner in Burgundy. I used NYX Matte lipstick in Alabama.

Viola!
